I am an oceanographer whose research applies fluid mechanics principles to the study of transport and mixing phenomena in the coastal ocean. I’m currently working as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Coastal Oceanography and Autonomous Systems (COAST) Lab, led by Dr. Nick Nidzieko, at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The main focus of my work in the COAST Lab is to develop and test methods for measuring turbulent mixing in the dynamic surface ocean using an autonomous underwater vehicle. Prior to arriving at UCSB, I did my Ph.D. research at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Horn Point Laboratory and was advised by Dr. Larry Sanford.
